Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport & transfer to Protea Hotel.

On arrival at Entebbe International airport, you will be picked by the representative from Weismann Safaris & Expeditions-Uganda and drop you to Protea hotel for any meal plan depending on the time you arrived at the hotel. This is the closed hotel from the airport which is 2.6kms that takes on 4minutes drive. Make the program for the next day with your tour driver/guide.  Enjoy your stay at the hotel for an overnight

Day 2: Protea hotel-Murchison falls national park

After morning breakfast, you will be transferred to Murchison falls national Park. The biggest and largest national park in Uganda. Known as the most powerful waterfall. You will have enroute lunch in masindi and either spend an overnight in Masindi or continue to the park gate. During this drive, you may see birds and animals like raptors, Rock Pratincole, Crested Francolin, White crested Turaco, White-headed Barbet, Narina Trogon, Red-throated Bee-eater, Rufous-sided Broadbill, Silverbird, Red-cheeked Cordon blue, waxbills, finches, sunbirds and canaries, water bucks, oribis, warthogs among others. Upon arrival, you will have Dinner and peaceful overnight in Murchison falls national park at Para safari lodge

Day 3: Morning game drive and afternoon launch cruise to the Bottom of the falls

On this day, take pleasure in a morning game drive towards the Albert and Victoria Nile and experience a great deal of wildlife and birds. Along the way, look out for herds of elephants, giraffes, antelopes, the Uganda Kobs, buffaloes, waterbucks, lions, and several bird species.  Later on in the day after lunch, embark on a launch cruise to the base of the falls.  This 3 hour cruise from Paraa is a rewarding trip that will expose you to many various wildlife species like hippos, crocodiles, elephants (though quite occasional along this side) and a variety of the bird life that may include the African fish eagles. You will then return to your hotel for wonderful dinner and peaceful overnight.

Day 4: Drive from Murchison–Kibale national park

After morning healthy breakfast, prepare for the journey from Murchison to Kibale national park. This will be connecting from Murchison falls national park connecting via Masindi-Hoima-Fortportal then to Kibale national park. On reaching Fortportal, you will stop for Lunch at Gardens Restaurant which offers both local and foreign meals on both buffet and ala’carte. This day is a long drive that takes 8-9 hours on both tarmac and murram rough road. On the way, you will be enjoying the cultural houses of the Banyoro people, baboons, white and black Columbus monkeys, forest squirrels etc. Then to Kibale national park to Chimpundu lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Transfer from Chimpundu lodge to Kibale forest for chimpanzee tracking.

Wake up early, have breakfast, and then move to Kibale forest national park at Kanyanchu starting point for a briefing  on the code of behavior around the Chimpanzees. Enter the forest to follow the Chimpanzees for 2-4 hours, taking various photographs to preserve for memories. During chimpanzee, you will be able to encounter a variety of other primate species like th Lh’hoest monkeys, red tailed monkeys, baboons and others. In addition, birds species shall also be spotted during the chimpanzee tracking experience. After the chimpanzee  tracking, get your tracking certificates and drive back to the Chimpundu Lodge. 

Day 6: Transfer from Chimpundu Lodge to Bwindi forest at Mohagony springs lodge or Silverback lodge

After taking morning breakfast, we proceed to Bwindi forest for an overnight at either Muhogany lodge or Silverback lodge to prepare for gorilla tracking the next day. This journey takes you through the Kasese-Mbarara road bisecting Queen Elizabeth national park  crossing the famous Kazinga channel the natural channel that connects the two lakes Lake George and Lake Edward 40kms apart. This journey is more of a game drive where you pass through Queen Elizabeth national park that gives you chance to see different animal species like Elephants, Buffalo, warthogs, hippos, antelopes among others. This is 237kms journey that takes 5-6hours drive on marrum road.

Day 7: Gorilla Tracking experience 

After early morning breakfast, proceed to the Park gate  for briefing on the rules of behavior in the presence of Mountain Gorillas in their native forest environment.

After a simple briefing, you are divided into groups to different gorilla families then start walk into the jungle to track the Mountain Gorillas for either long hours or short hours depending on how far they are in the jungle. When you encounter them, you are only permitted 1hour in their presence to take various photographs to preserve as memories.

Return to the starting point, be awarded the tracking certificates and then drive back to your lodge for lunch and then an overnight.

Day 10: Transfer to Kihihi airfield for your flight to Entebbe

After early morning breakfast, you will then be transferred to Kihihi airfield for your return flight to Entebbe and then flight to back home.
