Location: Northwestern Uganda – Buliisa, Nwoya, Kiryandongo, and Masindi Districts
Uganda’s largest and oldest national park lies between 615 to 1,187 meters (2,018–3,894 feet) in elevation. Here, the Nile River is squeezed through a 7-meter gorge to explode into the dramatic Murchison Falls. The surrounding savannah is alive with elephants, lions, buffaloes, and giraffes. Boat cruises, game drives, and breathtaking views make it a top safari destination.
