Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport & transfer to Protea Hotel.
On arrival at Entebbe International airport, you will be picked by the representative from Weismann Safaris & Expeditions-Uganda and drop you to Protea hotel for any meal plan depending on the time you arrived at the hotel. This is the closed hotel from the airport which is 2.6kms that takes on 4minutes drive.Make the program for the next day with your tour driver/guide. Enjoy your stay at the hotel for an overnight
Day 2: Protea hotel-Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary then to Murchison falls national park.
After early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to Ziwa Rhinos Sanctuary to embark on the Rhino tracking experience which is more of a walkjng safari. This is a 2hours experience. After the Rhino tracking experience, be transferred for lunch and then start the journey to Murchison falls national Park. The biggest and largest national park in Uganda. Known as the most powerful waterfall. You will have enroute lunch in masindi and either spend an overnight in Masindi or continue to the park gate. During this drive, you may see birds and animals like raptors, Rock Pratincole, Crested Francolin, White crested Turaco, White-headed Barbet, Narina Trogon, Red-throated Bee-eater, Rufous-sided Broadbill, Silverbird, Red-cheeked Cordon blue, waxbills, finches, sunbirds and canaries, water bucks, oribis, warthogs among others. Upon arrival, you will have Dinner and peaceful overnight in Murchison falls national park at Para safari lodge
Day 3: Morning game drive and afternoon launch cruise to the Bottom of the falls .
On this day, take pleasure in a morning game drive towards the Albert and Victoria Nile and experience a great deal of wildlife and birds. Along the way, look out for herds of elephants, giraffes, antelopes, the Uganda Kobs, buffaloes, waterbucks, lions, and several bird species. Later on in the day after lunch, embark on a launch cruise to the base of the falls. This 3 hour cruise from Paraa is a rewarding trip that will expose you to many various wildlife species like hippos, crocodiles, elephants (though quite occasional along this side) and a variety of the bird life that may include the African fish eagles. You will then return to your hotel for wonderful dinner and peaceful overnight.
Day 4: Drive from Murchison–Kibale national park.
After morning healthy breakfast, prepare for the journey from Murchison to Kibale national park. This will be connecting from Murchison falls national park connecting via Masindi-Hoima-Fortportal then to Kibale national park. On reaching Fortportal, you will stop for Lunch at Gardens Restaurant which offers both local and foreign meals on both buffet and ala’carte. This day is a long drive that takes 8-9 hours on both tarmac and murram rough road. On the way, you will be enjoying the cultural houses of the Banyoro people, baboons, white and black Columbus monkeys, forest squirrels etc. Then to Kibale national park for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Transfer from the lodge to Kibale forest for chimpanzee tracking.
Wake up early, have breakfast, and then move to Kibale forest national park at Kanyanchu starting point for a briefing on the code of behavior around the Chimpanzees. Enter the forest to follow the Chimpanzees for 2-4 hours, taking various photographs to preserve for memories. During chimpanzee, you will be able to encounter a variety of other primate species like the Lh’hoest monkeys, red tailed monkeys, baboons and others. In addition, bird species shall also be spotted during the chimpanzee tracking experience. After the chimpanzee tracking, get your tracking certificates and drive back to the Lodge for lunch.
In the evening, embark on the community walking safari where you will learn about the community way of living and also learn on how the locals make local beers. Then back to your lodge for dinner and overnight
Day 6: Tea plantation experience, crater lakes viewing and transfer to Equator snow lodge.
After morning breakfast, start your journey to the tea plantations s with the community guide to explain to you the experience of the tea fields from the time of field cultivation, planting and picking then the transfer to the factory for processing. This is an interesting experience with the beautiful sceneries coupled with the view of the wonderful kibale forest canopy. This is a 3-4 hours experience. After, drive to snow Equator lodge passing through the cater lakes areas where you will be able to view different rater lakes with fascinating views. This is a 2-3hours drive including stops for the crater lakes. On reaching Equator Snow lodge, you will have lunch, then relax and if you like, you can move around the forest to the Rwenzori Mountains National Park gate and then back to the hotel for the dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Community forest walk, community walk and traditional dances.
After morning breakfast,, you will start your journey to move to the community forest where you will pass through garden fields of the local Bakonzo people who are the inhabitants on the foothills of Mt Rwenzori. During the walk, you will be able to see a variety of tree species, bird species, chameleons, monkeys, forest squirrels and depending on the weather, the glacier margherita peak. This is a 3-4hours walk. After the forest walk, you will go back to your hotel for lunch and then start the community walk where you will be visiting the traditional healer to demonstrate for you how they treat the local people using traditional means, the black Smith to show you how they make knives, axes, pangas spears traditionally. After these experiences, you will then end the day with the Bakonzo traditional dances.
Day 8: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park.
After breakfast, check out and start the drive to Queen Elizabeth National park passing through Kasese tourism town. Have a stop in Kasese to buy some souvenirs and have some organic coffee. After drive for 1 hour drive to the hotel and then lunch. After lunch, drive to Lake Katwe salt lake for salt mining experience and also visit Lake Munyanyange to view the flamingos. This is 2-3hours experience. Drive back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 9: morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga channel.
On this day, you will have an early morning breakfast and drive to Queen Elizabeth National park to acquire the park access card. You shall enjoy a game drive towards the Kasenyi plains which may reward you with sightings of the various animals like huge herds of the Uganda kob, elephants, leopard, lion, buffalos, warthogs, water bucks and antelope and some savanna birds like the Egyptian goose, African jacana, African pie wagtail, crested francolin, Fish eagled etc. The game drive will take you 4-5 hours then drive to your hotel for lunch. Later after lunch, you will embark on a boat cruise on Kazinga channel. This is very rewarding with the aquatic animals like crocodiles, hippos and many water bird species like black bee carmine eaters and black bee eaters, Lesser Swamp-Warbler, Striated Heron, Egrets , great pelicans, cormorants etc and this takes 2-3hours then back your hotel for dinner and overnight
Day 10: Queen Elizabeth -Bwindi Impenetrable National park/Kabale
One this day, it is 4-5 hours drive which is worth the game drive to Queen Elizabeth National park because the way to Bwindi bisects the park into two. During this day, you expect to view the beautiful land scapes of the Queen Elizabeth and some animals such as Elephants, Buffalos, Antelopes, warthogs, baboons may be spotted. After the park you will connect the community homes and later to Bwindi Impenetrable National park for dinner and then an overnight at the safari lodge booked.
Day 11: Batwa experience
After morning breakfast, you will get ready, along with your packed lunches and water to embark on the lifetime memorable Batwa experience . The Batwa are the original inhabitants of the Bwindi forests that wete conviced by the government to leave the forest and be settled outside the forest. You will learn they way of life. After Batwa then drive to Lake Bunyonyi safari lodge for lunch and overnight
Day 12: Relaxation at Lake Bunyonyi
During this day, you will have to relax on lake Bunyonyi by doing the boat cruise that leads you to different islands on lake Bunyonyi for scenery and bird viewing.
Day 13: Return back to Kampala or depart at Entebbe airport for your flight.
After breakfast, we will make our scenic journey through the beautiful terrain of the rolling hills with terraced landscape, an area referred as the “Switzerland of Africa”. Observe the systematic cultivation of the Bakiga along the mountain slopes and enjoy the experience of what has been referred to as the Switzerland of Africa because of its cool nature. We will continue to Kampala reaching the capital late afternoon / evening. Dinner and overnight in Kampala. Your driver-guide will drive you to your Hotel in Kampala or to Entebbe for your departure.
